and if so...will the gov't come put me on a list for signing it?.....lol....

doesn't the gov't have better things to do?

i don't know  muchabout the assata shakur case and trial but just how it came up recently is really interesting.....

Don't we need more information why Assata Shakur did this? In my opinion, there is a thin line in being a Tupac-like figure and being wanted by the F.B.I.

Comment by Don H on May 8, 2013 at 2:00pm

there may be a thin line but its interesting the medias use of her name....They use her birth name not the name she is most known by, her muslim name.

for example, if Kareem Abdul Jabaar robbed a bank tomorrow....would the media say.....Lew Alcinder is america's most wanted?

interesting to think that maybe the fbi or some intelligence agency does not want to remind fans of 2pac Shakur that Assata is a closely linked to him....perhaps to avoid a empathetic or sympathetic reaction?

I need to get a hold of the autobiography because i think everything is detailed in there from her first hand account...

I agree with young Makaveli, I always said there were a reason why PAC's last album were so wack, but even though the beats were wack pacs verse shyne like a mother fucka. I just don't understand why afenini let them shit come out. Feel me, I'm pretty sure she could of. Stop them shit cuz she have control of PAC estate.

I remember hearing he had an aunt exiled in Cuba, either from him mentioning her in his works like he oten did Mumia, Geronimo, Mutulu, etc. or from 1 of his many bios I read & wondered wut became of her. I have NO doubt she is innocent if 'Pac backed her, that's a GIVEN 2 me. Not 2 mention all the forensic evidence & physican testimony proving her hands were raised giving up to the fedz when she was shot & that there was no way she could've held the gun to shoot that officer. Then the officer that lived changing up his story. Then her companion in car getting shot & killed there. It REEKS of the SAME story as Mumia's, i.e., a set-up against a black political activist via a bogus traffic stop. If Fidel has never sold out all these decades to the U.S., I seriously doubt he will now, so I don't worry @ Cuba giving her up, just the wanna-be bounty-hunter sell-out U.S. 'patriots' out there trying to make sum $ & a pat on the back. FREE ASSATA!! DOWN WITH CAPITALISM!! LONG LIVE SOCIALISM!!

I met some people in Chicago when I lived there right after Trayvon Martin was killed and I'm still on their mailing list and received this today:

ON May 2, the FBI increased its bounty for the capture of Assata Shakur from $1 million to $2 million and included her on the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorist list, the first time that a woman has ever appeared on the list. A Black Panther Party and member of the Black Liberation Army, Assata was arrested in 1973 after an ambush on the New Jersey Turnpike which left her critically wounded, her comrades, Zayd Shakur, dead and Sundiata Acoli still a US captured political prisoner. A New Jersey state trooper was also killed in the shoot out as well. With no physical evidence, Assata was convicted by an all-white jury and sentenced to life in prison. She managed to escape six years later, eventually finding asylum in Cuba. Labeling her as a “terrorist” has everything to do with her political beliefs, the liberation movement she fights for, and the symbol of Black revolutionary struggle that she has become — to continue the FBI’s COINTELPRO mission of criminalizing Black/New Afrikan freedom fighters, political prisoners, prisoners of war & political exiles and to send a chilling message to activists organizing against racism and oppression today.
